Possible Causes
Compressor not running, Water inlet valve not filling tray, Faulty ice maker module, Defective temperature sensor preventing cycle start
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing covers. Turn off water supply if disconnecting hoses.
- 1. Confirm basic conditions:
- Ensure the unit is switched on and not in a cleaning or standby mode.
- Verify the ice bin is correctly installed and not signaling 'bin full'.
- 2. Check water supply:
- Confirm the water shutoff valve is open and the hose is not kinked.
- Follow the E01/E12 steps to verify water flow.
- 3. Check cooling:
- After 20–30 minutes of operation, feel inside the ice-making area; it should be getting cold.
- If not, inspect the compressor and condenser fan as in E05/E06.
- 4. Run a test cycle (if available):
- Use the control panel to start a manual ice-making or diagnostic cycle.
- Listen for water filling and the compressor starting.
- 5. Inspect ice maker module:
- Remove the internal cover and check the ice tray and ejector mechanism for damage.
- If the module is not moving through cycles, it may need replacement.
- 6. Sensor and PCB check:
- If water and cooling are present but no ice is produced, the thermistor or main PCB may be mis-controlling the cycle; professional diagnosis is recommended.
