How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water before cleaning.

  • 1. Discard old ice:
    • Empty the ice bin completely.
    • Discard any ice that has absorbed odors from nearby food or environment.
  • 2. Clean bin and interior:
    • Wash the ice bin with warm water and mild detergent.
    • Wipe interior surfaces with a solution of baking soda and water, then rinse.
  • 3. Sanitize water reservoir:
    • Follow Beko's cleaning instructions using a food-safe sanitizer or descaler.
    • Rinse thoroughly to remove any chemical residue.
  • 4. Flush water line:
    • Run water through the supply line into a bucket for several minutes before reconnecting.
  • 5. Replace external filter:
    • If using an inline filter, replace the cartridge.
  • 6. Discard first batches:
    • Throw away the first 2–3 batches of ice after cleaning.
