How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off water before cleaning.
- 1. Discard old ice:
- Empty the ice bin completely.
- Discard any ice that has absorbed odors from nearby food or environment.
- 2. Clean bin and interior:
- Wash the ice bin with warm water and mild detergent.
- Wipe interior surfaces with a solution of baking soda and water, then rinse.
- 3. Sanitize water reservoir:
- Follow Beko's cleaning instructions using a food-safe sanitizer or descaler.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove any chemical residue.
- 4. Flush water line:
- Run water through the supply line into a bucket for several minutes before reconnecting.
- 5. Replace external filter:
- If using an inline filter, replace the cartridge.
- 6. Discard first batches:
- Throw away the first 2–3 batches of ice after cleaning.
