Possible Causes
Faulty temperature sensor, Ice level sensor not detecting full bin, Stuck relay on main PCB, Poor cooling efficiency causing long run times
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or the control board.
- 1. Check bin fullness:
- If the bin is full but the unit keeps running, the ice level sensor may be faulty.
- Clean or replace the sensor as described in E10.
- 2. Verify cabinet temperature:
- Use a thermometer to ensure the ice compartment reaches the target temperature.
- If it never reaches setpoint, inspect condenser, fan, and door seal.
- 3. Inspect thermistor:
- Check the evaporator thermistor connection and replace if out of range.
- 4. Control board assessment:
- If sensors are good but the compressor never cycles off, the main PCB relay may be stuck and should be replaced by a technician.
