Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Beko ice maker from the mains before removing any panels. Turn off the water supply valve feeding the unit.
- 1. Verify water supply:
- Locate the water shutoff valve (usually under the sink or behind the unit) and confirm it is fully open.
- Disconnect the water line from the back of the ice maker and briefly open the valve into a bucket to confirm strong water flow.
- 2. Inspect the water hose:
- Check the Beko-supplied water hose for kinks, sharp bends, or crushing behind cabinets.
- Straighten or reroute the hose to ensure unrestricted flow.
- 3. Clean inlet filter screen:
- At the water inlet valve on the back of the ice maker, remove the hose and inspect the small mesh filter screen.
- Rinse the screen under running water and remove any debris or scale with a soft brush.
- 4. Test the water inlet valve coil (advanced users):
- With the unit unplugged, remove the rear service panel to access the water inlet valve assembly.
- Use a multimeter to check coil resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed valve.
- If defective, replace the valve with a compatible Beko water inlet valve assembly.
- 5. Reset the unit:
- Restore water and power, then press and hold the power or reset button (if present) for 5–10 seconds to clear the E01 code.
If E01 returns after confirming water supply and replacing the valve, contact a Beko service technician as the main control board may not be energizing the valve correctly.
