Possible Causes

Failed condenser fan motor, Blocked condenser coil with dust, Ice maker installed in a confined, unventilated space, Faulty fan motor wiring or connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before removing rear or side panels. Sharp metal edges may be present.

  • 1. Check installation environment:
    • Ensure the Beko ice maker has adequate clearance at the rear and sides as specified in the manual.
    • Do not enclose the unit in a cabinet without proper ventilation openings.
  • 2. Clean condenser coils:
    • Remove the rear lower panel to access the condenser coil and fan.
    • Use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and lint from the coil fins.
    • Blow compressed air through the coil from the opposite side if heavily clogged.
  • 3. Inspect condenser fan:
    • Check that the fan blades spin freely by hand with the power off.
    • Remove any debris, cable ties, or insulation touching the blades.
  • 4. Test fan operation:
    • Reconnect power briefly and observe whether the fan starts when the compressor runs.
    • If the fan does not run, unplug again and test the motor windings with a multimeter.
  • 5. Replace faulty fan motor:
    • If the motor is open/shorted or seized, replace it with a Beko-compatible condenser fan motor.
    • Ensure the fan spins in the correct direction after installation.
  • 6. Reset E05:
    • After cooling and repair, power the unit back on and clear the error via the control panel reset procedure.

If E05 recurs despite a working fan and clean condenser, the compressor or main PCB temperature sensing may be faulty and requires professional service.
