How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the ice maker from mains before removing the control panel.
- 1. Power cycle the unit:
- Unplug the ice maker for at least 5 minutes.
- Plug back in and check if the E09 code clears temporarily.
- 2. Inspect control panel for moisture:
- Look for condensation or water droplets around the display and buttons.
- If wet, leave the unit unplugged and allow the panel to dry completely for 24 hours.
- 3. Access the control panel:
- Remove the screws securing the front control fascia.
- Carefully pull the panel forward to expose the ribbon cable and connectors.
- 4. Check ribbon cable and connectors:
- Ensure the flat cable is fully seated in both the user interface board and main PCB.
- Inspect for corrosion, bent pins, or damage to the cable.
- 5. Replace faulty UI board:
- If buttons or display segments are non-functional even with good connections, replace the Beko user interface/control panel PCB.
- 6. Consider main PCB:
- If a new UI board does not resolve E09, the main control board may be defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
