Possible Causes
Open-circuit ice tray heater, Failed defrost/harvest thermostat, Loose heater wiring, Faulty control board heater relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before accessing the ice tray and heater wiring.
- 1. Manually defrost the tray:
- Remove the ice bin and internal cover to expose the tray.
- Use warm (not hot) water in a spray bottle or a hair dryer on low to melt the solid block of ice.
- 2. Inspect heater wiring:
- Locate the heater element under or around the ice tray.
- Check for burnt spots, broken wires, or loose connectors.
- 3. Test heater element:
- Use a multimeter to measure resistance across the heater terminals.
- An open reading indicates a failed heater that must be replaced.
- 4. Check harvest thermostat (if present):
- Locate the thermostat clipped to the tray or evaporator.
- Test for continuity at the specified temperature range; replace if open when it should be closed.
- 5. Replace faulty components:
- Install a new Beko ice tray heater and/or harvest thermostat as required.
- 6. Reset E13:
- Reassemble, restore power, and clear the error via the control panel.
