Possible Causes
Clogged internal drain hose, Cracked drain pan, Loose water line connection, Ice melting due to poor cooling and overflowing into base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off the water supply. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- 1. Remove standing water:
- Pull the unit forward and tilt slightly if needed to access the base.
- Use towels or a wet/dry vacuum to remove water from the bottom tray.
- 2. Inspect drain system:
- Locate the internal drain hole under the evaporator or ice tray.
- Use a soft brush or pipe cleaner to clear any blockage.
- Follow the drain hose to the rear and ensure it is not kinked or disconnected.
- 3. Check water connections:
- Inspect the inlet hose connection at the rear and any internal push-fit connectors.
- Tighten or reseat fittings as needed; replace O-rings if leaking.
- 4. Examine drain pan:
- Look for cracks or warping in the plastic drain pan at the base.
- Replace the pan if damaged.
- 5. Test for recurring leaks:
- Restore water and power, then monitor the unit during a full ice-making cycle.
- Check the base again for signs of new leakage.
- 6. Reset E15:
- Once the leak source is resolved and the base is dry, clear the error via the control panel.
