Possible Causes

Failed main control board (PCB), Blown internal fuse on control board, Shorted low‑voltage power supply circuit, Loose power harness connection to control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator or switch off the circuit breaker before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.

  • Check incoming power: Verify the refrigerator/ice maker is receiving power at the wall outlet. Reset the breaker and test the outlet with another appliance.
  • Inspect power cord and harness: Pull the unit forward carefully and inspect the power cord for cuts or burns. Inside the machine compartment, check the main harness connector going to the Bosch control module for looseness or corrosion. Reseat the connector firmly.
  • Access the control board: Remove the rear service panel (usually at the back, lower section). Locate the Bosch main control board. Look for burnt spots, bulged components, or a blown onboard fuse.
  • Test board voltages (advanced): With power restored and extreme caution, a qualified person can measure AC input to the board and low‑voltage DC output to the user interface. If AC is present but no DC output, the board is defective.
  • Replace the control board: If the board is visibly damaged or fails voltage tests, disconnect power, label all connectors, remove mounting screws, and install a new OEM Bosch control module. Reconnect all harnesses exactly as before.

If you are not comfortable testing live voltage, contact a professional technician.
