Ice maker stops producing ice and displays E02 or flashes a 2‑blink error on the status LED (if equipped).

Safety: Disconnect power to the refrigerator/ice maker before accessing internal components.

• Check ice compartment temperature: Ensure the freezer or ice compartment is actually cold (around -15°C to -18°C / 0°F to 5°F). If the compartment is warm, address cooling issues first.
• Locate the thermistor: On Bosch units, the ice maker thermistor is typically clipped to the ice mold housing or mounted on the ice compartment wall with a small plastic clip.
• Inspect wiring: Remove the ice bucket and any covers to access the ice maker assembly. Look for pinched, broken, or discolored wires leading to the thermistor. Reseat the connector at the ice maker and at the main harness junction.
• Test thermistor resistance: With the thermistor disconnected and the compartment cold, measure resistance with a multimeter. A typical Bosch NTC thermistor will read between 5–30 kΩ depending on temperature. An open circuit (OL) or near‑zero ohms indicates a bad sensor.
• Replace thermistor: If readings are out of spec, unclip the old thermistor, route the new Bosch thermistor along the same path, and secure it with the original clip. Reconnect the harness and reassemble covers.
• Reset power: Restore power and allow several hours for the control to recalibrate and resume ice production.
