Possible Causes
Low household water pressure, Clogged Bosch water filter, Partially blocked inlet valve screen, Kinked internal water tube to ice maker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off water and disconnect power before disassembling water lines.
- Measure water pressure: Use a simple pressure gauge on a nearby cold water faucet. Bosch ice makers typically require at least 20–40 psi.
- Replace water filter: Install a new OEM Bosch filter and ensure it is fully locked in place. Run several liters of water through the dispenser (if present) to purge air.
- Inspect tubing: Check the water line from the inlet valve to the ice maker for kinks or sharp bends. Reroute or replace tubing if damaged.
- Clean valve screen: Remove the inlet line at the Bosch water valve and clean the mesh screen of sediment. Reinstall and tighten fittings securely.
- Test ice size: After corrections, allow several cycles (4–6 hours) and inspect cube size. If still small, the inlet valve may be weak and require replacement.
