Possible Causes

Stuck water inlet valve, Faulty ice maker control module not closing valve, Incorrect water pressure (too high), Misaligned ice maker causing water to miss mold

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit and shut off the water supply immediately to prevent further leakage.

  • Inspect ice maker alignment: Remove the ice bin and verify the ice maker is level and firmly mounted. If it is tilted, water may spill over the mold. Adjust mounting screws as needed.
  • Check water pressure: If household pressure is extremely high (>80 psi), install a pressure regulator on the supply line.
  • Test inlet valve: With water on and power off, observe if water continues to drip into the ice maker. Any flow with no power indicates a mechanically stuck valve that must be replaced.
  • Replace inlet valve: Turn off water, disconnect power, remove the rear panel, and replace the Bosch dual inlet valve. Transfer all water lines and wiring to the new valve and check for leaks.
  • Inspect ice maker module: If the valve tests good but overfilling persists, the ice maker control module may be energizing the valve too long. Replace the Bosch ice maker assembly.
  • Dry and clean: Thoroughly dry the ice compartment and bin before resuming operation to prevent ice clumping.
