Possible Causes
Freezer temperature slightly too warm, Dirty condenser coils reducing cooling efficiency, Ice compartment fan running weakly, Partially clogged Bosch water filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before cleaning coils or accessing fans.
- Check temperature setting: Lower the freezer setpoint by 1–2°C (2–4°F) and monitor ice production over 24 hours.
- Clean condenser coils: Pull the unit away from the wall and vacuum dust from the condenser coils and fan area. Use a coil brush if needed.
- Replace water filter: Install a new Bosch water filter if it is older than 6 months. Poor water flow can slow ice production.
- Verify door sealing: Inspect door gaskets for leaks that allow warm air in. Replace damaged gaskets.
- Check ice compartment fan: Listen for the fan near the ice maker. If it is noisy or intermittent, replace the Bosch ice compartment fan motor.
