Possible Causes
Ice maker turned off in settings, Freezer/ice compartment too warm, Water supply to ice maker shut off, Failed Bosch ice maker assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and shut off water before removing components.
- Check ice maker ON/OFF: Verify the ice maker is enabled in the Bosch control panel and that any mechanical on/off arm or switch on the ice maker is in the ON position.
- Verify temperature: Ensure the freezer is set to the recommended temperature (around -18°C / 0°F). Overpacked freezers can restrict airflow; rearrange items to clear vents.
- Confirm water supply: Make sure the water shutoff valve is open and the water filter is not clogged. Test the water dispenser (if present) for good flow.
- Inspect ice maker: Look for obvious damage, ice jams, or disconnected wiring. If the unit does not cycle at all and all other conditions are correct, the Bosch ice maker assembly is likely defective and should be replaced.
- Replace ice maker: Remove the ice bin, unscrew the ice maker, unplug the harness, and install a new OEM Bosch ice maker. Restore power and allow 12–24 hours for full ice production.
