Steps:
- Reset control: Unplug for 10 minutes, then restore power and attempt to start a cleaning cycle per the user manual.
- Check buttons: Ensure the Clean button is not physically stuck or damaged. Wipe the control surface with a damp cloth.
- Perform manual cleaning: If the automatic cycle will not start, manually clean the reservoir, evaporator, and sensors with ice machine cleaner following Café instructions.
- Inspect sensors: Clean water level probes and thermistors of scale and slime, as dirty sensors can prevent cleaning cycle completion.
- Replace UI or control board: If E18 persists and buttons are unresponsive, the user interface or main control board may need replacement.
