Possible Causes
Blocked or dirty ice level sensor window, Misaligned infrared emitter/receiver, Failed ice full sensor board, Loose wiring to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or adjusting sensors.
- Locate the ice full sensor: On many Candy ice makers, an infrared sensor pair is mounted near the ice storage bin opening.
- Clean sensor windows: Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with warm water to wipe the emitter and receiver lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure no ice pieces, plastic parts, or labels are blocking the sensor path.
- Verify alignment: Confirm that the emitter and receiver are directly facing each other and not bent out of position.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the sensor wires back to the control board. Reseat connectors and look for broken wires.
- Test operation: After reassembly, power on the unit and start a cycle. Manually block the sensor path with your hand; the unit should react as if the bin is full. If there is no response or constant E07, replace the ice full sensor assembly.
