Possible Causes
Dirty or scaled low-water sensor probes, Mispositioned water tank, Faulty float magnet or reed switch in tank, Defective low-water sensor circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the water tank or panels.
- Check tank seating: Remove and reinstall the water tank, ensuring it is fully seated and correctly oriented so that the sensor or magnet aligns with the internal switch.
- Clean the tank: Empty the tank and wash it with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly to remove any residue that could interfere with sensors.
- Clean sensor probes: If your Candy model uses metal probes in the tank area, clean them with a soft cloth and descaler to remove mineral buildup.
- Inspect float and magnet: If the tank has a float, ensure it moves freely and that the magnet is intact. Replace the tank assembly if the float is waterlogged or damaged.
- Check reed switch: Inside the cabinet, locate the reed switch that detects the tank magnet. Verify wiring and replace the switch if it does not change state when a magnet is brought near (test with a multimeter).
