Possible Causes
Defective cabinet NTC sensor, Sensor dislodged from mounting point, Damaged sensor wiring, Control board sensor circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing internal wiring.
- Locate the ambient sensor: This sensor is usually mounted near the air intake or on the inner wall of the cabinet.
- Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is properly clipped to its bracket and not hanging loose, which can cause false readings.
- Inspect wiring and connector: Look for corrosion, loose pins, or damaged insulation. Reseat the connector on the PCB.
- Measure resistance: At room temperature, measure the sensor’s resistance and compare with Candy’s specification. Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
- Board diagnosis: If a new sensor does not clear E12, the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
