Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation grills, Excessive ambient temperature, Failing compressor drawing high current, Defective thermal cut-out or overload device

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before moving or cleaning it.

  • Improve ventilation: Ensure there is adequate space around all sides of the ice maker, especially the rear and sides where vents are located. Remove any objects blocking airflow.
  • Clean air paths: Vacuum dust from intake and exhaust grills. Clean the condenser coil thoroughly.
  • Check room temperature: Verify that the ice maker is not installed in a room exceeding the maximum ambient temperature specified by Candy (often around 32°C). Move to a cooler location if necessary.
  • Allow cooling: Leave the unit unplugged for at least 30 minutes to allow internal thermal protectors to reset.
  • Monitor operation: Plug back in and observe. If E15 recurs quickly, the compressor or overload device may be failing and should be checked by a technician.
