Possible Causes
Failed low-voltage power supply on PCB, Shorted internal LED light module, Damaged wiring to auxiliary components, Blown low-voltage fuse on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening any panels.
- Check internal light: If the internal LED is shorted, it can pull down the low-voltage rail. Disconnect the light module and see if E16 clears after a reset.
- Inspect PCB fuses: Some Candy boards include small fuses for low-voltage circuits. Replace only with identical ratings if blown.
- Look for burnt components: Examine the PCB for burnt resistors or regulators in the low-voltage section. If found, the board should be replaced.
- Test wiring: Inspect harnesses to lights, fans, and sensors for shorts to chassis or each other.
