Possible Causes

Residues from manufacturing, Dust or packaging materials left inside, Stagnant water in tank or lines

Safety first: Unplug the unit before cleaning.

Initial cleaning: Wash the ice bin, water tank, and removable parts with warm soapy water and rinse well.
Run cleaning cycle: Use a food-safe cleaner recommended by Candy.
Discard first batches: Discard the first 2–3 batches of ice after cleaning until any odor disappears.
