Unit is very hot to the touch on the sides or back during operation.

Safety first: Unplug the ice maker and allow it to cool before cleaning.

• Clean condenser: Use a brush and vacuum to remove dust from the condenser coil and surrounding area.
• Check fan operation: After cleaning, briefly power on and confirm the condenser fan runs when the compressor is on. Replace the fan motor if it does not operate.
