Possible Causes

Blocked ice full sensor by ice or dirt, Misaligned infrared emitter/receiver pair, Failed ice full sensor board, Broken wiring between sensor and main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or adjusting sensors.

  • Clear the ice bin: Remove the ice basket and any loose ice that may be blocking the ice full sensor window.
  • Clean sensor lenses: If your Clatronic model uses an infrared ice full sensor, gently clean the emitter and receiver windows with a soft cloth and warm water. Avoid harsh chemicals that can scratch the plastic.
  • Check alignment: Ensure the emitter and receiver are directly facing each other and not bent out of position. Adjust their brackets if necessary.
  • Wiring check: Trace the sensor wires back to the main PCB. Reseat connectors and inspect for pinched or broken wires.
  • Replace sensor module: If the error persists and the sensor does not respond when the beam path is blocked/unblocked, replace the ice full sensor assembly with a compatible Clatronic part.
