Possible Causes
Blocked condenser airflow, Failed condenser fan motor, High ambient temperature above design limit, Overheating main PCB or compressor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the ice maker. Allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before further inspection.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure the ice maker is placed in a well‑ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, ovens, or radiators. Maintain at least 10–15 cm clearance on all sides and the back.
- Clean condenser and fan: Remove the rear cover and gently vacuum dust from the condenser coil and fan blades. Use a soft brush to avoid bending fins.
- Check fan operation: Plug the unit back in and briefly start a cycle while observing the fan (keep fingers clear). If the fan does not spin or is noisy, replace the condenser fan motor.
- Ambient temperature: Verify that the room temperature is within the specified range in the Clatronic manual (typically 10–32 °C). Move the unit if necessary.
- PCB thermal sensor: Some models have a thermal sensor on the PCB or compressor. Ensure it is properly attached and not covered with dust. If damaged, replace the sensor or PCB.
