Clatronic Overfreezing / excessive ice thickness

Ice cubes are too large, stick together, or jam the ice shovel.

Possible Causes

Incorrect ice size setting, Faulty evaporator temperature sensor, Control PCB not terminating freeze cycle correctly, Poor heat transfer due to scale on evaporator

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing jammed ice.

  • Adjust ice size: Set the ice size to a smaller setting (S or M) on the control panel and observe if cube size normalizes.
  • Clear jams: Remove the ice basket and gently dislodge any stuck ice from the shovel or evaporator using a plastic tool. Do not use sharp metal objects.
  • Descale evaporator: If the evaporator is coated with white deposits, run a descaling cycle and clean the surface carefully with a soft cloth.
  • Sensor check: Ensure the evaporator NTC sensor is firmly attached and not insulated by scale or loose tape. Replace the sensor if readings are erratic.
