Possible Causes
Blown internal fuse on main PCB, Faulty power cord, Defective power switch, Failed main control PCB power supply section
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the ice maker before opening any covers. If you are not experienced with mains voltage, seek professional help.
- Check outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance to confirm it has power. Avoid using multi‑way adapters or extension cords.
- Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks on the Clatronic power cord. Replace the cord if damaged.
- Power switch: If your model has a mechanical power switch, verify it clicks and is not loose. Test continuity across the switch when turned on; replace if open.
- Internal fuse: Remove the rear or bottom cover to access the main PCB. Locate the fuse (usually glass or ceramic). Test with a multimeter and replace with the same rating if blown. If it blows again immediately, there is likely a short on the PCB or compressor circuit.
- PCB inspection: If the fuse is intact but there is still no power, the PCB's low‑voltage power supply may have failed. Look for burnt components or bulging capacitors. Replace the main control PCB if defective.
