Ice maker produces ice, but cubes are very small or hollow.

Safety first: Unplug the unit and empty the ice basket before servicing the water system.

• Check water level: Ensure the reservoir is filled to the recommended level. Low water can cause incomplete ice formation.
• Clean pump filter and tray: Remove the ice basket and access the water distribution tray above the evaporator. Clean any scale or slime from the tray holes. Remove and rinse the pump inlet filter.
• Descale system: Run a descaling cycle using a food‑safe descaler recommended for ice makers. This helps restore proper water flow.
• Inspect pump performance: During operation, observe water flow over the evaporator. If flow is weak or intermittent, the pump may be failing and should be replaced.
