Ice maker produces ice very slowly; cycles take much longer than normal and ice output is low.

Steps to improve ice production:

• Relocate the unit: Move the ice maker away from heat sources and ensure it is in a room with ambient temperature between about 50–90°F (10–32°C).
• Improve ventilation: Provide at least 4–6 inches of clearance on all sides and especially at the rear vents. Do not enclose the unit in a cabinet.
• Clean condenser vents and coil: Use a vacuum and soft brush to remove dust from the rear and side vents. If the coil is accessible, gently brush off debris.
• Use cooler water: Fill the reservoir with cool tap or filtered water. Very warm water increases cycle time.
• Monitor performance: After cleaning and repositioning, run the unit for several hours. If ice production remains very low, the compressor may be weakening, which typically requires professional replacement.
