Possible Causes
Uneven surface, missing or hardened rubber feet, compressor mounting grommets worn, internal components touching cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before tilting or lifting.
Steps to reduce vibration:
- Level the unit: Place the ice maker on a solid, level surface. Use a bubble level if available. Adjust or shim under the feet to eliminate rocking.
- Inspect rubber feet: Check that all four rubber feet are present and soft. Replace missing or cracked feet with compatible Costway rubber foot pads.
- Check internal clearances: Remove the rear panel and ensure the compressor, fan shroud, and tubing are not touching the cabinet walls. Gently bend tubing or add foam spacers where needed.
- Inspect compressor mounts: Verify that the rubber grommets under the compressor are intact. If they are deteriorated, have a technician replace them to restore isolation.
