Buttons on the Danby ice maker do not respond or are difficult to press.

• Clean the panel: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove sticky residue. Do not allow liquid to seep into the panel.
• Inspect for cracks: Look for physical damage to the panel or buttons. Replace the panel if cracked.
• Check keypad connector: Access the back of the control panel and reseat the keypad ribbon cable or connector on the control board.
• Replace keypad: If individual buttons still do not respond, replace the keypad or entire user interface assembly with a Danby‑approved part.
