Steps to reduce noise:

Level the unit: Use a spirit level to ensure the Danby ice maker is level front‑to‑back and side‑to‑side. Adjust feet if available.
Check for loose panels: Tighten any loose screws on the cabinet panels that may be vibrating.
Inspect the fan: Remove the rear panel and check that the condenser fan blades are secure on the motor shaft and not hitting any shrouds. Tighten or reposition as needed.
Listen to the tray motor: During harvest, if you hear grinding from the tray area, the motor gears may be worn. Replace the ice tray motor assembly.
Check compressor mounts: Inspect rubber grommets under the compressor. If they are cracked or missing, replace them to reduce vibration.

Danby ice maker is very noisy during operation; rattling, grinding, or buzzing sounds are heard.
