E18 displayed, ice maker stops and display shows water-related warning, but water supply is present

Safety first: Turn off water and unplug the unit before removing water lines or sensor probes.

Sensor checks:

• Locate flow sensor: Some De Dietrich models use a flow meter in line with the water inlet. Remove and inspect it for debris or scale; clean gently with water.
• Check water presence probe: If your model uses a water level probe in the reservoir, remove it and clean mineral deposits with descaler. Rinse thoroughly.
• Inspect wiring: Ensure all connectors from the flow meter or probes to the control board are secure and free of corrosion.
• Reset unit: After cleaning and reassembly, restore water and power, then reset the unit according to the user manual.

Note: If E18 returns immediately, the sensor itself may be defective and require replacement.
