Possible Causes
Incorrect evaporator temperature reading, Excessive harvest heater operation, Low water level in reservoir, Control board calibration issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.
Steps to improve cube quality:
- Check water level: Ensure the water reservoir fills to the correct level. Adjust or replace the water level sensor if the level is too low.
- Inspect evaporator sensor: Verify the evaporator thermistor is properly attached and not insulated by scale or ice. Clean the contact area.
- Clean harvest heater area: Mineral buildup can cause uneven heating. Clean the underside of the plate and heater contact points with descaler.
- Control reset: Perform a full power reset to clear any temporary calibration errors.
Note: Persistent hollow cubes after these steps may indicate a control board calibration fault that requires service tools to correct.
