Possible Causes
Cracked drain hose, Loose hose clamp at pump or drain outlet, Blocked internal drain causing overflow, Frozen drain line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and turn off the water supply. Use towels to dry the area to avoid slipping.
Leak tracing:
- Remove front kick plate or rear panel: Inspect the drain hose from the internal drain pan or pump to the external connection.
- Tighten connections: Check all hose clamps and push-fit connectors. Tighten or reseat as needed.
- Check for cracks: Flex the hose gently and look for splits or pinholes. Replace the hose if damaged.
- Clear blockage: Flush the hose with warm water to remove ice or debris. Ensure the household drain is not backing up.
Tip: After repair, run a test cycle while observing the underside of the unit to confirm no further leaks.
