Possible Causes
Blocked or failed ice level sensor, Bin not installed correctly, Control board not responding to full-bin signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before working near sensors.
- Empty and reinstall bin: Remove all ice, then reinstall the bin fully seated and level.
- Clean ice level sensor: Wipe infrared sensors or mechanical switches near the bin to remove frost and debris.
- Test shutoff: Run the unit and manually block the sensor (or press the bin switch) to see if production stops. If not, the sensor or control board may be faulty.
- Replace sensor: Install a new EdgeStar ice level sensor assembly if it does not signal the board correctly.
