Possible Causes
Defective ambient temperature sensor, Damaged sensor harness, Corroded connector at control PCB, Control board analog input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the ice maker before accessing internal components.
- Find the ambient sensor: This sensor is typically mounted near the air intake or behind the front grille to sense room temperature.
- Visual inspection: Check that the sensor body is intact and not covered in dust or ice. Ensure it is not touching hot components.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance. Compare to the Fagor temperature‑resistance chart. Replace if readings are far outside expected values.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Look for loose plugs or damaged insulation. Repair or replace as needed.
After replacing the sensor, reset the unit and verify that it starts and cycles normally without re‑displaying E10.
