Safety: Disconnect power before adjusting the switch.

Locate the switch: Find the small plunger or lever switch near the front panel or door frame.
Check engagement: Close the panel and verify that it fully depresses the switch. Adjust the panel or switch bracket so the switch is firmly actuated.
Test the switch: With a multimeter, check continuity while pressing and releasing the switch. Replace if it does not change state.
Secure wiring: Ensure the switch wires are intact and firmly connected to the harness.

Once the switch is working and properly aligned, the alarm should clear and the unit should run normally.
