How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and water before cleaning. Do not use harsh household chemicals inside the ice maker.

  • Replace water filter: If a filter is installed, replace the cartridge according to schedule.
  • Clean and sanitize: Empty the bin and discard old ice. Run a full cleaning cycle with Fagor‑approved ice machine cleaner, followed by a sanitizing rinse using a food‑safe sanitizer.
  • Clean the bin: Wash the ice bin with warm water and mild detergent, then rinse and sanitize. Dry thoroughly before restarting.
  • Check water source: If taste issues persist, test the building water for contaminants or odors.
