Possible Causes
Water supply turned off, Failed water inlet valve, Severely scaled evaporator plate, Low refrigerant charge in sealed system
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply before internal inspection.
- Verify water supply: Confirm the shutoff valve is open and that water flows freely to the inlet of the ice maker.
- Check for fill: Start a cycle and listen for the water fill. If you do not hear water entering, test and replace the water inlet valve as needed.
- Inspect evaporator for scale: Remove the front panel and look at the evaporator plate. Heavy white or green mineral deposits can prevent ice formation. Run a full descaling cycle with Fagor‑approved cleaner.
- Observe frost pattern: After 10–15 minutes of operation, check if the evaporator is frosting evenly. If not, a sealed system issue may be present and requires a refrigeration technician.
Address water and scale issues first; if there is still no ice, seek professional sealed system service.
