Possible Causes

Failed multi-port water inlet valve, blocked internal water filter, kinked Fisher & Paykel water line, flow meter error (if equipped)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off water supply and disconnect power before servicing water components.

  • Step 1 – Replace water filter: If your Fisher & Paykel unit has an internal filter, replace it with a genuine filter if it is older than 6 months or water flow is reduced.
  • Step 2 – Inspect water line: Pull the appliance forward and check the supply line for kinks or crushing. Straighten or replace as needed.
  • Step 3 – Test water flow: With the line disconnected from the refrigerator, briefly open the shutoff valve to confirm strong flow from the house supply.
  • Step 4 – Replace inlet valve: If house flow is good but the refrigerator does not supply water to the ice maker or dispenser, replace the Fisher & Paykel water inlet valve assembly.

After repair, purge air from the system by running water (if dispenser present) and allow time for the ice maker to resume production.
