Possible Causes
Low household water pressure, partially clogged water inlet valve screen, restricted water filter, kinked internal water line to ice maker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off water supply and disconnect power before disconnecting water lines.
- Step 1 – Check water pressure: Confirm that other cold water taps in the home have strong flow. If pressure is low, consult a plumber.
- Step 2 – Replace filter: Install a new Fisher & Paykel water filter to restore flow.
- Step 3 – Inspect lines: Check the supply line and internal tubing to the ice maker for kinks or tight bends. Straighten or replace as needed.
- Step 4 – Clean valve screen: Access the water inlet valve and remove the inlet line. Clean any debris from the valve screen. If flow remains weak, replace the valve.
After adjustments, allow several cycles to see if cube size returns to normal.
