Possible Causes
Room temperature too high, Condenser coil clogged, Condenser fan not running, Door or bin not sealing properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning coils or working near moving parts.
Reduce operating temperature and improve cooling:
- Verify the ice maker is installed in an area within the recommended ambient temperature range (typically 55–90°F). Move it if necessary.
- Pull the unit out and clean the condenser coil thoroughly with a brush and vacuum.
- Check that the condenser fan runs when the compressor is on. Replace the fan motor if it is not operating.
- Inspect the door or bin gasket for gaps, tears, or warping. Replace the gasket if it does not seal tightly.
- After cleaning and repairs, restore power and allow the unit to cool for several hours. The H1 code should clear once normal temperatures are reached.
