Safety: Unplug the unit before defrosting. Do not use sharp tools to chip ice.

Clear ice and correct cause:

Remove ice bin and interior panels as needed to access the evaporator.
Allow the unit to defrost completely; use towels to catch water. A fan blowing room air can speed this up.
Inspect the door or bin gasket for gaps or tears and replace if not sealing.
If your model has a defrost heater and thermostat, test them for continuity with a multimeter. Replace any open components.
After reassembly, monitor for recurring frost. Persistent icing may indicate a control or sensor issue requiring service.
