Frigidaire ice maker makes ice but production is very slow

Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning coils or internal parts.

Improve operating conditions:

• Ensure the ice maker is installed in a cool, well-ventilated area away from ovens or direct sunlight.
• Pull the unit out and clean the condenser coil thoroughly with a brush and vacuum.
• Use Frigidaire-approved ice machine cleaner to descale the evaporator and water system following the instructions in the user manual.
• Verify that the water supply is cold; extremely warm inlet water will slow production.
• Allow 24 hours after cleaning and adjustments to evaluate ice production.
