Frigidaire ice maker produces very large, thick ice slabs that jam during harvest

Safety: Disconnect power before adjusting sensors.

Reduce ice thickness:

• Locate the ice thickness sensor or adjustment screw as described in the tech sheet.
• Clean the sensor surface to remove any scale or slime.
• Adjust the thickness setting slightly thinner (usually a small counterclockwise turn of the adjustment screw).
• Ensure the sensor is positioned correctly relative to the evaporator plate.
• Run several cycles and verify that ice slabs are thinner and harvest smoothly.
