Frigidaire
Thin Ice Formation
Frigidaire ice maker runs but makes very small or thin ice cubes/slabs

Possible Causes
Low water level in reservoir, Partially clogged water inlet valve, Scale on ice thickness sensor, Incorrect ice thickness adjustment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and turn off water before servicing.
Correct water level and thickness:
- Check the water reservoir during a fill cycle; it should reach the normal level indicated in the manual. If low, inspect the inlet valve and supply line for restrictions.
- Clean the ice thickness sensor/probe with a soft cloth and ice machine cleaner to remove scale.
- On models with an adjustable ice thickness screw or control, follow the tech sheet to slightly increase thickness (usually a small clockwise turn).
- Run several cycles and recheck ice thickness. Do not over-adjust, as this can cause over-thick ice and harvest problems.
