Possible Causes
Incorrect ice size setting, Dirty evaporator surface, Faulty evaporator temperature sensor, Control board not allowing full freeze cycle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before touching the evaporator plate.
Steps to correct small or weak ice:
- Adjust ice size: If your Galanz model allows, select a larger ice size setting and run several cycles.
- Clean evaporator: With the unit unplugged, gently wipe the evaporator plate with a soft cloth and warm water to remove mineral film. Do not scratch the surface.
- Check water quality: Use clean, filtered water. Very soft or distilled water can sometimes affect cube formation.
- Sensor check: If ice remains small, the evaporator temperature sensor may be misreading. Inspect its attachment and replace if necessary.
