• Step 1 – Check door gasket: Inspect the bin door gasket for tears, gaps, or warping. Replace if it does not seal evenly all around.
• Step 2 – Reduce door openings: Avoid leaving the door open for extended periods, which warms the bin.
• Step 3 – Verify ventilation: Ensure the condenser coil is clean and that airflow is not blocked, allowing the unit to maintain proper bin temperature.
• Step 4 – Test bin thermistor: Measure resistance and compare to GE specs. Replace the bin thermistor if readings are incorrect.
