Possible Causes
Water supply turned off, Failed water inlet valve, Circulation pump not running, Refrigeration system not cooling
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and shut off water before removing panels or hoses.
- Step 1 – Verify power and mode: Ensure the unit is switched on, not in cleaning or standby mode, and that the door is fully closed.
- Step 2 – Check water supply: Confirm the shutoff valve is open and the supply line is not kinked. Disconnect at the inlet valve and briefly open the valve into a bucket to verify strong flow.
- Step 3 – Inspect inlet valve and filter: Clean the inlet valve screen and replace any inline or built-in water filter older than 6 months.
- Step 4 – Listen for circulation pump: During operation, you should hear water circulating. If not, test and replace the circulation pump as needed.
- Step 5 – Check for cooling: After 10–15 minutes of run time, the evaporator plate/coil should be very cold and beginning to frost. If it remains warm, there may be a sealed system or compressor issue requiring a professional technician.
