Possible Causes
Stuck float switch in low position, Failed water level sensor, Low incoming water pressure, Air in water line after installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and water before opening the reservoir area.
- Check water supply: Confirm the shutoff valve is fully open and that the supply line is not kinked.
- Inspect float or level sensor: Open the reservoir and locate the float or electronic level sensor. Ensure the float moves freely and is not coated with scale or slime.
- Clean components: Wash the float and reservoir with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
- Bleed air from line: After reconnecting water, run the unit and open any bleed or purge function (if available) to remove trapped air.
- Replace sensor if defective: If the float switch or level sensor does not change state when water level changes, replace it with the correct GE part.
